About

This interactive workshop provides participants with practical tips and tools on how to conduct environmental analysis and documentation pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  This enhanced workshop trains environmental professionals and practitioners in implementing “One Federal Decision” (E.O. 13807) and refining their practice related to NEPA project management, purpose and need, range of alternatives, tiering documents, and streamlining through regulatory integration.  The workshop also highlights recent NEPA case decisions related to segmentation and use of available data/modeling, and it discusses current trends for mitigation and indirect/cumulative impact analysis.

The target audience for this workshop is experienced NEPA planners, decision-makers, environmental engineers, scientists, resource specialists, consultants, agency regulators, real estate and land managers, and attorneys who require an in-depth understanding of NEPA law and policy.  The trainers will emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary teams when working on transportation, energy and/or land management infrastructure projects.
