The presentation will also provide valuable insight into the process of establishing and managing a gopher tortoise recipient site (mitigation bank).

Our presenters include two consultants with more than 25 years each of hands-on experience each in assessing and relocating gopher tortoises. We will also be joined by the South Region Gopher Tortoise Biologist from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), providing valuable perspective on permitting requirements, regulatory considerations, and best management practices.
