The University of Pennsylvania’s Master of Environmental Studies program helps students translate their passion for the environment into a fulfilling career. Tailored courses of study, research opportunities, and field work experiences are available to students with concentrations in environmental biology, environmental policy, resilience and adaptation, sustainability and urban environment. Dual degrees are offered in areas such as law, veterinary health, public health, business administration, and nonprofit leadership. Students find meaningful ways to blend their graduate school and professional work by partnering with faculty practitioners to design projects and research that tackle real-world environmental challenges.

Dr. Sally Willig teaches Wetlands, Field Study of Puerto Rico's Ecology and Regional Field Ecology in the Master of Environmental Studies program with the aim of getting students into the field to better understand ecosystem processes and patterns. She also advises students concentrating in Environmental Biology, Resource Management, and Environmental Education and Advocacy, and finds great satisfaction in helping students achieve academic and professional goals. Sally has her AB in Geology from Princeton University and a PhD in Geology from the University of Pennsylvania.
