 About HDR Inc.

We believe that the way we work can add meaning and value to the world. That ideas inspire positive change. That coloring outside the lines can illuminate fresh perspectives. And that small details yield important realizations. Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward. We specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services. While we are most well-known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, we provide much more than that. We create an unshakable foundation for progress because our multidisciplinary teams also include scientists, economists, builders, analysts and artists. Our employees, working in more than 200 locations around the world, push open the doors to what's possible each and every day.

With his legal training, he is able to navigate the myriad of regulatory requirements and identify potential issues in order to help develop strategies and solutions that allow clients to achieve their goals. As a biologist, he is able to lead teams in performing site investigations and reviewing pertinent literature, applying ecological knowledge to planning and compliance efforts, navigating natural resource laws such as the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Michael has been a project manager, lead technical advisor, and quality assurance/quality control (QAQC) lead on a number of complex and controversial site-specific and programmatic National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state equivalent impact assessment documents. In addition, he has facilitated numerous NEPA-related meetings, such as internal, cooperating agency, and public scoping and comment; alternatives development; and interdisciplinary roundtable meetings with federal and state agencies.
