E-Permit & Environmental Web Applications

SCDOT’s Environmental Services Office and NAEP-SC are hosting half-day, in-person, environmental training workshops around the state to thoroughly discuss SCDOT’s new E-Permitting, web applications, and web‐basedsmart forms. These applications will streamline the submittal process for jurisdictional Determinations (JD) and Section 404 General Permit submittals to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for transportation projects. Sean Connolly and Siobhan Gordon will be providing in-depth training on the following three applications:

1. JD Mapping web app –   ArcGIS based mapping application creates professional maps within seconds.  These 7 maps are consistent with the supporting documentation needed for JDs.
2. JD smart form – Survey123 based smart form that works in conjunction with the JD Mapping web app to produce the JD submittal package and format all supporting documentation.
3. E-Permit – Section 404 E‐permit standardizes permit submittals in terms of what information to include, how the documents should be presented, wherein the package each document should be placed, and how permit drawings should be presented.  This step-by-step program streamlines the permitting process and creates consistent submittals among users.
