NAEP Training Opportunity – Ethics for the Environmental Professional
Rescheduled: January 16, 3:00 - 4:30 pm EST

Richard Burke, CEP and Timothy Perry, Esq.

This webinar is designed to provide environmental professionals with a deeper understanding of how to ensure ethical behavior in today’s world. Attendees will have a chance to learn the bases for ethical systems, appropriate ethical behavior toward our environment, and best practices for preventing unethical conduct in the workplace. To increase awareness of ethics across practices, examples of ethical codes used in the engineering and legal profession will be compared with those established in NAEP’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for Environmental Professionals. Sufficient time will be available so questions can be discussed and participants can learn how to apply what is presented to their professional lives.

This session will offer professional credits!

Who Should Attend - Emerging and experienced environmental professionals who want to understand the history of ethics and how they apply to what we do.

Each year, The National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP) and American Public University (APU) share efforts through an educational alliance with the goal to help prepare environmental professionals to advance in their field through career-relevant education. With this goal in mind, NAEP and APU leaders are constantly collaborating on another series of webcasts focused on career preparation and professional development for environmental professionals.

The 2018 webinar series has and will continue to showcase environmental projects that incorporate federal environmental legislation in real world applications. Presenting case studies for discussion, the webinar series targets an audience of early career professionals, including students, but mid- to late- career professionals should also find the topics interesting and perhaps gain new insights from current case studies addressing the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Endangered Species Act. Webinars are offered free of charge for NAEP members and APU students, faculty, and staff. Please add these to your schedule and plan to join us!
