Are you looking for mentor or mentee?  As part of the NAEP/TRB Conference, we are hosting a Virtual Speed Mentoring Event.  Registration links and general information about the session are included in the Event Brite links below.  Please note that pre-registration is required and is open to all conference attendees.  Prior to the event all registrants will receive via email a link to access the event as well as pre-prepared questions and the “rules”.

Generally, the agenda for the happy hour will be as follows:

1. Event introduction and logistics
2. Speed mentoring will begin: Each 2-person table will be provided starter questions to begin the conversation.  Conversations between potential mentors/mentees will last for 10 minutes each for a total of three rounds
3. Following the three rounds, each participant will be asked to message the moderator to rank their three conversations on a potential mentor/mentee match. Contact information to continue your mentoring conversation will be sent to each participant after the event
4. The event will end with a general networking happy hour

To accommodate both east and west coast time zones, the Virtual Speed Mentoring Event will be hosted twice. Please pre-register for the happy hour that best accommodates your schedule. Space is limited to 40 people (20 mentors, 20 mentees) for each happy hour and registration will close at 6 PM EST on Monday, May 17, 2021.
