2022 Offsite Tours

We have two great offsite events that showcase the unique history and atmosphere that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. You can sign up for these tours when you check into registration onsite.

Bus Tour of Port Everglades Environmental Program

Wednesday, May 18, 2022 | 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Cost: Free

Where: Pick-up and drop-off on Granada Street.

Balancing environmental stewardship with economic development can be challenging, especially for a busy seaport that supports cruise, cargo and energy interests. Port Everglades – the third busiest cruise port in the world, one of the nation’s largest containerized cargo ports and the fuel hub for 12 counties in southern Florida – is dedicated to managing this balance through best practices for growth and community engagement. Take a tour of Port Everglades and learn about how corals, mangroves and wildlife are protected during an historic expansion effort and visit a modern cruise terminal that was constructed with LEED certification practices. We will also discover what measures are underway to rehabilitate a petroleum berth with nearly 100 years of legacy byproducts.

* Masks required on bus.
